Are you a student and submitting a Bachelor's, Master's or semester thesis on an innovative idea in the field of additive manufacturing at a Swiss university of applied sciences or university between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024?
Then you may be our candidate for the Best Thesis Award of the Swissmem Swiss Additive Manufacturing Group SAMG, which is endowed with CHF 1,500 (1st prize), CHF 1,000 (2nd prize) or CHF 50 (3rd prize).
The prizes serve to promote additive manufacturing in Switzerland and are intended to provide the AM industry with an insight into industry-relevant theses and enable networking with top young talent.

Admission
Theses that must have a specific industry connection are eligible. This means that the results must be fundamentally usable by an industry partner.
Theses accepted for the award are invited to submit the complete thesis by 17 September 2024.
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria
- Innovative content, novelty, solution approach
- Scientificity, derivations, quality of research/sources, own contribution
- Quality of the written work submitted, conciseness, explanation of complex issues
- Industrialisation potential (link between theory and practice, applicability in practice)
- Final grade of the thesis

Send your thesis, a management summary (one A4 page), the evaluation score and a short CV as a PDF in German or English to the industry sector's e-mail address: samgnoSpam@swissmem.ch.
