Swissmem commits itself to the relationships of universities to the industry. The Company Members are oriented by means of interesting activities and developments, possibilities for co-operation are highlighted and contacts are mediated. Apart from this, Swissmem supports the raising of efficiency in the R+D section of the Company Members with appropriate courses.
Service for you
- We support the Company Members during the definition of projects for innovation, arrange suitable partners from universities and industry and accompany the process.
- Swissmem is the partner and contact point for the engineering, electrical and metal industry in three large Confederate projects that are intended to improve the transfer of technology: the ‘w6' technology transfer consortium, the ‘Alliance' consortium, and the ‘CHost' consortium.
- We organize conferences and workshops concerning current technological subjects and offer R+D project management course that are intended to arrange R+D in a targeted and effective way.
- We shall make model contracts and additional documents for the development of closer relationships with universities available to you.
- You will receive information about the ranges of technology of third parties, internationally and from universities and the private economy, and possibilities of co-operation in research and development projects, as a Member.
- We define the research and technology strategy in the research commission and implement the aims formulated in it in the interests of the sector.
- Swissmem represents the interests of its Company Members effectively in various committees in Switzerland and abroad.
