By exporting its climate-friendly products, the industry helps to reduce the worldwide carbon footprint. The companies in the technology sector are also continually improving the energy-efficiency of their own production processes, thus making a key contribution to conserving resources in Switzerland.
Swissmem has a range of programmes to support its members in this area. It also campaigns for a political framework that will strengthen Switzerland’s position as a centre for research and development and thus support the development of climate-friendly products.
